If you don't mind dropping down to a 40" tv I can certainly recommend the Samsung LE40F71. LCD, 1080P, 2 HDMI inputs, plus scart, etc, USB output (for a USB printer or something), will accept 9 memory cards so you can view and print pictures via your TV. You name it, it's got it.
The HD picture is STUNNING (when watching BBC HD, etc) and I've managed to get a damn good upscaled SD picture on it too.
Watching upscaled (1080i) dvd's is superb as well.
Costs around £1200 (from Amazon et al), so you'd need to spend more on a stand and surround sound. I'm looking for a 2.1 system at the moment (as the tv sound is pretty awful - but that's it's only downside).
The AVForum has been linked to - a LOT of them rave about this tv.
