  1. Im looking at the Blitz boost controllers and cant quite decide if the R spec with dual solenoid is worth the extra dosh over the S spec. It appears that there both the same other than the R spec has a dual solenoid, what advantage do this have over the S spec with the single solenoid. Have read the Blitz info but it doesn't really tell you that much.
  2. Damn and i thought i could be saving another £100 on rubber, yeh i phoned around the country for tyre prices and my supplier is still the cheapest ive found and only 15 miles from my house
  3. £450 for 245x35x18 and 285x35x18 !!!!!! I phoned around just about every where and the cheapest quote i got for these sizes in F1's was £550 all in. Who's your supplier i want there phone number please.
  4. Hi Kinje, Welcome to the club, hope you get you tyre wear prob sorted.
  5. Dont wish to sound like im taking the p, but they are fitted in the correct rotational direction aren't they ? Im just trying to think of a reason why you got such shit mileage.
  6. Are you sure you wrote down the right mileage when they were fitted I agree with the more left n right turns the more you wear your tyres but find it hard to believe 3000 miles compared to my 11,000 miles on the same rubber, my journeys day to day involve , more than 11 junctions, 10 miles of M way and quite a few miles on country rds that have seen better days. Perhaps your F1's are really a set of race wets
  7. My last set of F1's did 11,000 miles on the rears, if the wear is even across the tyre then it sort of rules out wheel alignment and tyre pressure. Cant quite believe youve only got 3000 miles out of them unless your the local burn out guru.
  8. Its getting changed because its 8+ yrs old and done 90,000 miles of pumping:sex: :D
  9. I'll speak to Leon about it tomorrow, as he only mentioned i'd need his full decat pipe, blitz boost controller, fcd, and to play safe an uprated fuel pump seeing as mines getting a bit old. I'll let you know Gaz asap, ta for the offer.
  10. Cheers Martin, Just that im being given different ideas on how to get to the 400 + club.
  11. Question for the Tech guys, Going to be upgradeing my uk tt auto to Full Decat Boost Controller FCD Up Rated Fuel Pump. Already has SuperDrager, R Spec FMIC, Iridium Plugs, Induction Kit, Should then be according to the rolling road results somewhere in the 400-420 HP at crank. Will it need anything doing with the ignition timeing ?? or will the stock ECU be ok to deal with this HP ??
  12. Nice one Ashley. Looks like the Apexi is the best aftermarket filter then, and the HKS the worst. You got your ride height problem sorted yet ?
  13. or the brake fluid level is low, beaten to it by JB
  14. Not sure but could it be engine oil being low, i had this on another car yrs ago, under heavy braking the oil warning light came on and sure enough it was a bit low. Maybe worth checking the old dipstick. Or im talking a load of c**p
  15. Dont know if jap tuners are better but theres a few to choose from. Dont know what diff a powerflow makes on a supra but the Blitz Hks Apexi all increase hp. Much more if you take both cats out, you'll possibly have a high boost prob with both cats out and need FCD & BC as well.
  16. Im only thinking of changing the hks induction kit due to a few comments on here and else where that the filters are not very good. I can solve the under bonnet temps with my own custom airbox but im looking for an induction kit with a filter that does its job. If there isnt an induction kit that comes with a good filter then i will go back to the stock airbox.
  17. £183 + vat for o/e Toyota airbox inc filter So not too bad i suppose
  18. I didn't get rid of mine so its in the garage somewhere, looks like im going hunting later.
  19. Yes im begining to think the same thing. So is there a second best option, ive virtually got my own airbox designed now which will use the stock intake which sits on top of the radiator and also from underneath the headlamp using some donkey dik tubing and airducts that will sit behind the cut out in the stock front bumper where the drivers side indicator is.
  20. Having read lots of info on the various induction kits, i thought i'd ask what you guys think. Im going to change from the hks unit, as i cant find a differant filter that will fit the hks pipewrk. Im looking for advice on which way to go. Think the main thing has got to be that the filter is up to the job. I dont want to waste another chunk of dosh so whats your thoughts boys.
  21. Cheers for that info Hardhead, looking at there chart of filter dimensions etc, looks like i'll have to do a bit of modding to the HKS pipework. i dont suppose anyone makes a better filter that would fit in the hks unit. ie mushroom shaped ?
  22. Im getting rid of my HKS filter and replacing it with something more up to the job. What do you guys think to the K/N stuff any good or not or any better ideas. Im going to keep the pipewrk of the hks ind kit so just need a filter that will fit onto it.
  23. Write the gloves are off, now who's got a j spec tt and wants to race and is in the w mids, im ready for all comers so bring it on:) er just no big singles or hybrid jobbies t/y But on a serious note i'd have to sort of agree with the uk tt being a bit ishh out the blocks, ive not been in a j spec tt with same mods as my uk car so cant really compare. But at least us uk boys can stop and as we all know power is nothing without control :D Only jocking guys, weve all got mkiv's just with diff bits bolted on them, which most of us seem to modify anyway, there cant be many totally stock cars here.
