  1. love to come along and party with you all but my soops off the road next weekend for approx 1month so have to catch up with you lot in july august regards dunk
  2. I used to have the hks on mine but swapped to the apexi. Think unless your after bigger bhp stick with the stock airbox as the only real + is looks. I dont think you get any gain in bhp and also poorer filtration whichever filter you use. Doe's anyone know what sort of bhp you can get to useing the stock airbox ? Also can you get differant filters for the stk airbox or just o/e ? Regards Dunk
  3. cornering is a much nicer experiance now, but as usual you pay for it some other way, the car is superb on good roads but def tramlines more on poor road surfaces Regards Dunk
  4. Just fitted trd anti roll bars to my tt, still on stk shocks n springs at the mo but imo they def worth the money. Anyone else changed the roll bars. Regards Dunk
  5. oh yeh and dude, stop spending your time on here and get on with painting cj's car Regards Dunk
  6. So hands up who likes the new 350Z ???? Me for one, not been in one yet but think it looks the dogs, wish i could afford the supe and the 350Z Regards Dunk
  7. Havent been to the bubble for a while now as my cars undergoing some mods and everything is taking longer than i thought. Good place nice people and some v nice cars looking forward to my next beer there in my finished car The food isnt bad either. Regards Dunk
  8. Hi dude, just thought i'd join in and gee you along with cj's car, cant you do a few nights on it so you can get mine in sooner also would you be annoyed if we did a colour change as well Regards Andrew dunk Shaw
  9. I had some retreaded tyres on my tt while i was waiting for new alloys and tyres to arrive. Imo dont bother as there no fun to drive on at all. I wont do that again, be better to put part worns on. I use a place nr Redditch and he gets good quality part worns from Germany i had 2 michelin pilots for the stock 17" rears 255x17 for £25 each which had lots of tread left. His name is Simon 01527831829 he also does very good prices on new tyres as well, he's just quoted me £700 all inc of vat & fitting for 265x35x19 fronts and 295x30x19 rears g/y gd3's i think. Regards Dunk
  10. thanks for all the info guys, Regards Dunk
  11. Thanks for the info Paul. Regards Dunk
  12. Hi Club, Would like comments from anyone who's got these coilover suspention set ups on there mkiv ? on how good or bad you rate em, how adjustable are they and how much stiffer than stock are they in reality ! and not what it says on the box. Regards Dunk
  13. Hi dude Sorry i missed your call was away racing and occasionally being a dumb ass left my mob at home. Speak with you soon about my project as im still drawing a blank in the midlands to find a bodyshop i trust to do the work. Most of my project parts are on there way so i need to get someone sorted very soon or i'll be supraless for most of our summer if we get one that is. Regards Dunk
  14. hiya dude how far have you got with the wbk project, any more pikies i could be in need of your services in the near future regards dunk
  15. I know this has more than likely been discussed to death but i'll ask anyway. I have a uk tt and want to change the shocks and springs, i'd like the car a little stiffer and lower, preferably adjustable, im not after silly low or hard. Regards Dunk
  16. Not a good idea in my opinion We design and make all sorts of m/sport componants at my wrk shop and dont recomend widenening stk rims. Just save the £££££'s and get a nice set of split rims Regards Dunk
  17. Hi John, I ended up making my own for my Work Equip split rims, so if you get totally stuck give me a sketch and i'll make you a set. Dare i say halfords would probably do some !!!! Just take one of your rims down there and they might be able to match you up a set. Regards Dunk
  18. Is anyone going down from the midlands ?
  19. I have a uk tt without the front electronic spoiler and have no problems at all with grip or turning into a corner. Cant say i noticed a massive differance with or without it !! Can you explain a bit more exactly whats wrong ? Has this started since the p/s mod ?
  20. Good to meet up with you guys again, shame the weather wasn't warmer as i was froze for most of the day. I was going to join you up the 1/4 but my rear tyres are on there last legs and didn't want to be driving home on slicks, well thats my excuse for not winning the coveted trophy. But fair play to you guys and girls as some pretty good times were being made. Catch you all at the nxt event. Lets hope its warmer
  21. Looks like its back to the old drawing board then. 300 litres of air per second, how the hell do you measure that, damn those clever jap techies
  22. I see what your saying, but the stock airbox isnt really that big either and that wrks fine, my box measures approx the same volume as the stock one, so guess i'll have to do some more testing.
  23. Well i took the car out for a test drive but nice and sensible, just kept going a touch harder each time, up the local airstrip ofcourse . Seemed to be fine, pulled the same as usual, until i did a sort of 35ish rolling start and floored it, didn't seem to like that, it hesitated big time, started to go fine then just lost power so i backed off, so im thinking i'll try with lid on tomorrow and do the same test and see what diff there is, im not giving it hell but could i be doing any damage ? Did it with the lid off as pictured, theres about a 1" gap approx, between the box and the underside of the bonnet when shut. Put the stock top intake on as well, not useing the intake under hdlamp yet, just the 3" feed from underneath through wing and as pictured underneath indicator.
  24. Thanks for the input guys. Roughly speaking the stock inlets are 7500 square mm for the 2. and my 3" or 76 mm dia pipe is 4300 square mm so looks like i'll need to keep the top intake on till i figure where to route a second intake or i could just go bigger diameter with the 1 inlet. If im working it out rite ( pye x r x r = area of a circle ) Which would need 4" or 100 mm diameter pipe which would give me 7835 square mm.
