  1. Hmmm piece of brushed alloy, black marker pen 2 rivets and hey presto genuine trd supra :D Dunk
  2. No prob jay, let me know if they dont go. Regards Dunk
  3. I guess not a lot really as there both grp but ones sold by trd and one isnt + a fair bit more cost wise, wasnt a genuine trd kit about £9000 Regards Dunk
  4. Forgot to mention. Ive just had a very good quote from Adrian Flux ins. Ltd 5k mileage Fully Comp like for like replace on all my mods £768 £500 excess Dont know if they do young guns like yourself but might be worth a try 08700 777888 Regards Dunk
  5. Think £14000 if you want one is a v good price. Mine will owe me lots more than that when its done + its not an origanal trd kit. Mkiv tt uk £10000 approx for a nice standard one. Trd kit £4000 approx. Fit kit and repaint car £3000 + Then new bigger alloys, at least 18's better with 19's no change from at least £2500. Oh and approx £800 on tyres but hey youve got to buy those as well so shant count the tyres, i think you got a very good deal. My Total £19500 + all my other mods. Should have sold my car and bought the one you got i'd have been much better off. Regards Dunk Ps if you do get new alloys let me know if youd like to sell the ones that are on the car now
  6. Looks superb Especially from the side are those 18" rims ? Regards Dunk
  7. I have the same clamps on my car and they work very well but its very easy to over tighten them. Far superior to normal hose clamps. There is a supplier in B'ham and got mine in 3 - 4 days they also do a slightly cheaper version which has a gold cad plated bolt instead of st/st. Regards Dunk
  8. Make your own out of MDF :D I thought all the dash kits were blue peter style,,,stickyback plastic carbon fibre or walnut lookalike rubbish that will more than likely curl up at the edges and look crap. If you want a proper carbon fibre dash then your gonna have to pay as there aint know way of doing it cheap and getting good results. Exactly the same if you want wood the cheap route just isnt worth doing imo. Think painting the dash is the best option or if you really hate the inside that much buy a differant car thats full of wood :D Sorry but think wood effect in a mkiv looks Regards Dunk
  9. Jeezus christ 1 1/2 turns cant believe they havent just ripped off. Welcome to the club chaz, afraid i dont know of any longer studs you can buy but guess there must be some out there, or you could poss get a set made. Regards Dunk
  10. Ive seen people weld em back together and use them They will definately be weaker whether there magnesium , aluminium, steel etc just depends how bent you mean. I'd be concerned if there cast magnesium as they could have cracks that you probly wouldnt see, very hard to tell without seeing picky of the exact amount of damage. X-ray is the only way to be sure. Regards Dunk
  11. Well at the moment they appear to be very efficeint seeing as i only spoke to them yesterday, ive just received a policy breakdown and relevant info and all seems correct. Regards Dunk
  12. Think for my next track day i'll put some new castrol srf ? racing break fluid in and flush out the old stuff + some better pads. 10 Laps tops before the stock breaks are dissapearing, i found the best thing was to go out do a couple of warming up laps then 2 or 3 quick laps then a nice easy lap with the odd break in the pits checking for leaks tyre pressures etc. Regards Dunk
  13. Think that def makes a differance but also mine is good because im getting on in yrs 43 so i guess they must think when you get old you get sensible and stuff Very impressed with not havin to explain all the mods and actually speaking to someone who knew what i wanted. He reckoned they could even beat that quote if someone else could do it cheaper. Ive also been on a traders policy for a few yrs and have no no claims bonus but the company Equity Red Star ins will give me 35% straight away so even better. Thanks for the alarm info Kevin, they told me only cat 2 required so might get it even cheaper. Regards Dunk. Ps: i wonder if the mkivsupra.net could get a club discount if enough supra owners went to A Flux. The best experiance ive had with insurance comps in quite a few yrs driving. Regards Dunk
  14. Just been on the phone to Adrian Flux Ins (08700-777888) to get a quote for my modded mkiv tt. Very impressed with the guy i spoke to, he understood what most of the mods were and what uk j-spec tt na's were, was very helpful as i want a specialist policy to cover every mod. He recommended sending them pictures and a copy of invoices on parts fitted. MOD LIST: TRD WBK TRD R BARS TEIN FLEX COILOVER SUSPENTION WORK EQUIP 19" SPLIT RIMS BOOST CONTROLLER EXHAUST FMIC RETRIMMED INTERIOR My quote for the above and valueing the car at approx £20,000 Also covering all mods on a like for like basis. Was £768 for fully comp £500 excess on a 5000 limited mileage policy. Didnt think that was too bad :) Regards Dunk
  15. I'll be useing it on my wheels and will post my findings which will be in approx a week when my wheels arrive. Fingers crossed that what everyone says about it is true. My biggest worry is the name ZOOP sounds like stuff you buy on QVC. No more grubby alloys Regards Dunk
  16. Thanks for the info Rich, just spoke to dentmagician and as long as the wheels are laquered they can teflon coat them approx £20 + vat each no garantee on the wheels but seemed to think it should work. £390 + vat for the bodywork 5yr garantee. I might just give this a go depending on what kevins product is like. Regards Dunk
  17. Kevin as you know i want this for the new 19's im getting from you, will you have this product in time for when my wheels arrive as i'd like to get it on them as soon as they come out the boxes ? Regards Dunk
  18. Afraid ive drawn a blank with the teflon coating, my mates connection seems to be unobtainable, think i'll be getting my wheels laquered, which will at least hold up the inevitable corrosion Regards Dunk
  19. So theres a need to sorce someone to custom make at least 4 supra floor carpets in a short pile hardwearing office carpet in black Thanks for the call Kevin, lookforward to hereing what your man in Japan can poss do. Think Dude has poss got a guy that might be able to help regarding making a custom job. Regards Dunk
  20. Phoned toyota today to get a price on a new cabin and boot floor carpet. £683 + VAT and thats just for the cabin carpet as they no longer do the boot carpet,so they say. Does anyone know of anywhere else i could try, i keep missing breakers yard cars, does anyone know about dyeing ( mines tan so might be poss to commercially dye it black. Regards Dunk
  21. Think Kevin is having probs getting it shipped over as it contains some nasty ingredients, think he's gotta get a special liscence to ship it, a mate of mine is getting a number for me of a guy who supposedly does this teflon coating, i'll let you know how i get on. Regards Dunk
  22. Ive heard that you can get your bodywrk treated with a clear teflon coating anyone know if this is true or had it done. I was thinking of seeing if the wheels could be done to save on all that really hard cleaning on splitrims. Any had any experiance of this ? Regards Dunk
  23. Ive just put trd roll bars on my car and its made a big differance, they have reduced the body roll by a lot more than i thought they would, the car does tramline a little bit more than before on bad roads but on good roads its great going into fast corners and swapping direction its a lot sharper than before, think the biggest downfall with stiffening a cars suspention inc roll bars is in the wet as your car will tend to just snap away without loads of warning when going a little quick My car is still on the origanal shocks n springs. Put the roll bars on first cj you could be very suprised with the results Regards Dunk
  24. Just thought i'd say a thankyou to Kevin from Envy for sorting out my shopping list of goodies for my mkiv tt, also for storing my bodykit for over a month. We had some probs with a couple of items but fairplay to Kevin he got them sorted. Hopefully by the end of june i should have a prettywell sorted supra with just the interiour to do, which i think will be done over the winter. TRD WBK TRD ANTI ROLL BARS TEIN FLEX COILOVER SUSPENTION 19" WORK ALLOYS + NUTS BOOST CONTROLLER FCD DECAT PIPES FUEL PUMP INDICATORS AUTO BOX OIL Again thanks Kevin and i'll be popping up to see you when my cars back on the road. Regards Dunk
  25. some impressive times dude good to meet you cj matt and others, cj....i love the colour but think mines going to stay black or do we go flip Regards dunk
