  1. I was going to ask in the main thread if people wanted to turn this into a Jap meet rather then Supra meet. Again, majority rule I think. But I think we should be selective about who we tell if we do turn it into a Jap meet, we don't want it becomming too public knowledge and having loads of muppets there just trying to race everyone and ruining the day(s).
  2. millhouse, where's the rest of the video footage! I want to see the GreenSupra guys doing the Dukes of Hazard stylee video shooting down the road!
  3. Well our meet started at 14:30 and didn't finish until about 21:00 i think, maybe later. Is 6 hours long enough for you!
  4. In fact I'll post a message in the event section straight after I've eaten me dinner and done a quick search for dates that don't collide with other events.
  5. It's not that we can't be bothered to travel to meets, the weekend before last we went to the Sussex meet, before that I went to Santa Pod and plan to again three more times this year. It's just there's lots of events going on up country but never any along the south. Just have a quick look at the Events section, the first page shows events for Northants, Isle of Man, Cambridgeshire, Immingham, Newcastle, York, Reading, Crawley, etc. That's sounds like a good idea to me, and is the exact reason I asked for suggestions! If a few more are interested in this then I'll get the ball rolling.
  6. That's fine, but we don't want to go to far away from the south. The reason millhouse, Jive and I arranged the original meet was because there was never anything down these parts worth going to, and all the other meets are two hours travelling away or more at the correct speed limit.
  7. Ok, anyone want to make some suggestions for the next meet? Where should we go this time? We need to think of something to better the excellent barbecue we just had! As the meets are getting more popular we are going to have to choose a different pub to pre-meet at, one which has better parking facilities and is less crowded. I can recommend The Bun Penny as it's not far from The Old Ship, and as you all found your way there ok you'll have no problems finding it. The car park is much larger and less likely to fill up as it's set back from the seafront. As always, this is our meet so I'm happy for any suggestions from the rest of you if you think there's a better pub to meet at. As soon as we've got some ideas flying around I'll start a new thread as before and take it from there, including the short listing of dates.
  8. Hopefully I can go to this, but not even I can plan that far ahead! Ok ok, I confess, I'm only posting here so I get an e-mail when someone else posts!
  9. I can't make it as I'm going to the FIA European Finals at Santa Pod that weekend, but it might be a good venue for a future meet if the price isn't too high. JohnK, let us know how it goes and what the place is like.
  10. I only did it the long way so people could have a browse round at all the other cool photos on there if they wanted.... and to increase my hit counter, obviously!
  11. Cheers to everyone who turned up and made this a great meet. Big thanks to Dunk, Mrs Dunk and Scooter for managing the cooking, and to Millhouse and Jive for organising the food. Not to forget Scooter (I think ) for bringing the drinks. We did the Supra community proud on Sunday! I've gone and uploaded the photos I took onto my website, including some of the green neons. Just click on "Toyota Supra" on the top menu followed by "Toyota Supra Photos" on the left menu, then click on the "mkivsupra.net" folder and finally click on the "Hampshire meet and barbecue" folder to get to them. Millhouse, where's the video footage! I wanna see the look on that coppers face! And did anyone get a photo at the Shell petrol station? That was class, we pratically filled the station to the amazement of the few people already there! So is this to become a regular event? I'm more than happy to start organising the next meet for late September early October if people are interested? You never know, I might even have my bloody wheels on the car by then!
  12. You mean you haven't read all the posts! Food is being purchased in bulk and the cost split, unless your really fussy in which case bring your own. And yes, the numbers represent the number of passengers your bringing along. 2pm Convoy from Sainsburys, M27 J7... millhouse + 1 Jive Johnk + 1 p00t Mad Ad Green Supra Supradude666 + 1 mandygladstone 2:30pm Pre-barbecue pub meet, The Old Ship... mawby + 1 Jive Mad Ad Scooter millhouse + 1 Green Supra JohnK + 1 p00t Supradude666 + 1 pulse + 1 Geezabloke + 1 mandygladstone Dunk657 + 1 6pm The barbecue, Royal Victoria Country Park... mawby + 1 Jive Mad Ad Scooter millhouse + 1 Green Supra JohnK + 1 p00t Supradude666 + 1 Geezabloke Midlifecrisis Andrew mandygladstone Dunk657 + 1
  13. Looks like the weather is on our side so this should be a brilliant event. Just to make sure everyone has directions, here they are again. From Portsmouth directions From Southampton directions Local street map Given how quickly the pub car park fills up (especially given it's a bank holiday weekend) people may well have to park on Queens road. Don't worry, this road is hardly used and is seconds away from the pub. Look forward to seeing you all there. 2pm Convoy from Sainsburys, M27 J7... millhouse + 1 Jive Johnk p00t Mad Ad Green Supra Supradude666 +1 mandygladstone 2:30pm Pre-barbecue pub meet, The Old Ship... mawby + 1 Jive Mad Ad Scooter millhouse + 1 Green Supra JohnK p00t Supradude666 + 1 pulse +1 (but not staying long probably) Geezabloke + 1 mandygladstone Dunk657 +1 (=Dunk658? ) 6pm The barbecue, Royal Victoria Country Park... mawby + 1 Jive Mad Ad Scooter millhouse + 1 Green Supra JohnK p00t Supradude666 +1 Geezabloke Midlifecrisis Andrew mandygladstone Dunk657 +1
  14. That could explain why I was getting 1.2 bar before I installed it, and 1.1 bar after. I was going to ask what the problem might be, it was like hitting a rev limiter or fuel cut but the car was still accellerating. Leaking boost would certainly explain it. So in that case correct adjustment of this could double up as a form of boost controller, preventing too much boost from being created... interesting.
  15. I actually get this when there is poor friction, like on gravel or grass. I put it down to me being able to turn the wheel too fast for the power steering due to the low friction.

  17. I would go, but I work in Newbury anyway and don't fancy hanging around a couple of hours to meet everyone nor driving home and then back again. I'll see how work works goes that day and decide then.
  18. It's not possible, not with any meaning to the readings anyway. If you look at this diagram you'll see the output from both turbo's join the same pipe that goes to the CAC. I believe the guage needs to be reading from after the throttle vavlue to get an accurate reading, otherwise you'd be reading the boost up against this value rather than the boost making it into the engine. Can someone more knowledgable confirm this?
  19. I don't know! I was three cars behind millhouse when we turned right at the first roundabout, but by the time I got to the next one you two couldn't be seen! Then I got stuck at almost every traffic light, had several old duffers cut me up on roundabouts, and finally I just decided to cruise back at 90 leptons - that's after I got past an estate car that wouldn't get out of the BMW lane, I ended up swapping lanes on a roundabout and shooting past him on the inside. Good day really, nice to see a Supra presence there.
  20. Sorry for thread stealing, but I'm also in Fareham Wipeout. If you spot an L-reg black J-spec TT around the area then it's probably mine.
  21. OK, I was obviously a sleep yesterday when I wrote my above replies. It is indeed backlit, three different colours infact! Two shades of greens and a red.
  22. My bad, I saw "facelift" and stopped reading any further, if I hadn't I might have spotted the "alloys" written after it!
  23. Maybe it's a facelift feature. I'll check it tonight and see, it's probably lit up like a christmas tree and I've just not noticed!
