What is the day likely to involve? If 40 people go then taht £125 each - i wanna know what I get for my money.

I just registered and activated my account so I could see what all the fuss was about, but still I'm not allowed to view that post.

I'm at the National Finals at Santa Pod on the 26th and 27th, so if we make it a week later than I wont be able to go. The intention is not for everyone to be in convoy all the time, it's simply that if we all know where we're starting from, and we all know where we're going, and we all know the rough route to get there, then those who want to travel in convoy can do and those who don't can... well.... just drive on to the next destination. (and get the drinks ready for the rest of us! )

Not yet, I hope to start finalising destinations towards the end of the week. Check out the Gumball post closer to the day and all the required information will be on there.

Even if you can't make the Gumball your more than welcome to meet at one of the destination points, that's the whole idea really. Approximately 20 odd of us driving around with hopefully 30 or so meeting at each stop.

It had a service recently, just after Billing, but I expect the plugs are stock and may well not be upto the 1.2 bar they have to deal with! That's 22 for the Gumball. Once we have the destinations sorted we can probably get more "local" people to turn up at each place. 22 of us driving around, 30 or so at each stop. Sounds good to me!

I'm going to recycle this thread (environmently friendly!) as it sort of describes what happens to mine, but thought I'd just check before I start buying new plugs. Little history, it was a stock Jap TT. Fitted a boost guage that showed it peak at 1.2 bar boost with no fuel cut. (I know this shouldn't be possible, I'm going to be looking at the ECU sometime soon to see if a FCD was fitted in Japan). Fitted induction kit, everything fine. Fitted an exhuast, 2nd de-cat pipe and HKS SQV and now I get the stuttering only in third gear with WOT or nearly WOT and the boost reaches 1 bar or more. Originally I thought it was the HKS SQV leaking but I've tighten it and it still happens. No warning lights come on so I don't think it's fuel cut. Looking at this thread I'm left with either fueling problems or plugs. Hopefully it's the latter, what ya all recon?

It will become a lot clearer once all the destinations are decided and we have an idea of where we're going! Sorry to hear about this. This will be our first one. I doubt we're have another one this year because winter will be on it's way, but we're probally have a couple more local meets instead.

Something along the lines of... (00 miles) -- Arrive 10:00 - This pub here - Leave 11:00 (10 miles) ---- Join M?? J? via local routes (20 miles) ---- Leave M?? J? joining M?? J? (30 mileS) ---- (Break) Services at J? (50 miles) ---- (Petrol) Shell station at J? (55 miles) ---- Leave M?? J? (56 miles) ---- (Meet): Little Chef (60 miles) -- Arrive 12:00 - Pub over there - Leave 12:30 ...with seperate "local routes" directions from major routes to the destination for people who want them. I'll try and mark as many petrol stations on route so people know where they can get fuel from. I'll also mark some break points where people wishing to have a break from driving can do. Finally I'll mark a meeting point where those who are not late can meet before the next destination and travel in convoy. Sound ok to everyone?

Yes, definitely the 20th, maybe the 21st once we've decided destinations and worked out how much travelling is involved.

This is a fair point, and petrol station or supermarket on the clostest major road to our destination where we can meet and re-group before the actual destination. Again this means people with local knowledge can lead the rest of us through the minor roads we might not be familar with.

I disagree with this. I think there should be a planned route to make it easier for people not familar with the area. That doesn't mean to say people have to stick it, it's just I'd much rather someone local to the places we go to told me the best route to get there instead of me trying to figure it out for myself.

Looks like the general concensus is this should be a Supra only event then. 22 names down so far! That will be great convoy of Supra's! Anyone know what the largest convoy of Supra's has been so far? Answers here please, not on this thread.

Cheers, and I will do! For the next couple of days I just want to get an idea of who's interested on whats days, and where most people will be travelling from. Then I'm thinking of starting posts in the chit-chat section for each county to allow people local to the area to decide where we should all go. Finally I'll work out with those people the best routes to take. See, easy really!

I was trying to match people to the closest county from the original list above rather than where everyone actually is. Hopefully that way we get better results as to which counties most people can get to.

Rather than having loads of copies of lists flying around as people add/remove their names etc, I'll be maintaining the first post with all the details as and when decided. That way it will be much easier for anyone first visiting the thread to understand whats going on. As you can see I've started already with the locations.

Description Given the success of the last two Hampshire based meets (Portsmouth/Southampton mini-meet and Hampshire mini-meet and barbecue) it's been suggested that our next meet could involve a southern county Gumball to try and allow as many people as possible to meet up at different locations. People in different areas would nominate suitable meeting points, we'd select one as the starting point and then post up the routes to the next one. People can then break off for home when they felt like it, and people could join when the convoy came through their area. The hard core amongst us can do the whole route! The route may go through counties like Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey and Kent. If enough people want to join in (and it would have to be a fair few) we could make it a two day event so we're not doing to much driving in one day.... which is bad! This is obviously going to need a bit of organising if it's to be successfull. I'm more than willing to do this, but before I go charging in sorting things out I need to make sure enough people would be interested. So if you are get your name down now! Once I have an idea of who's comming, from where and what date I'll start to sort out the pubs to meet at and the routes to get us there.
