Was this yellow from the factory? 

will be a colour change.... yellow was a later option....and afaik not an option on a uk car??

See I thought this might be the case, but then I remember reading about a DJG one that was a 1996 also, special order.

The unicorn that is a DJG uk spec has only been talked about and never seen iirc. People often mistake Baltic (storm) blue as DJG so has it actually been verified as DJG? 
 

im pretty sure this would be a respray and not a genuine yellow uk spec, don’t even think the uk market had that as a special order colour option  

This car was colour changed when new at the first owners request, car was delivered in yellow and the registration certificate shows it as yellow when first registered.

I believe it left the factory as white or at least that's what Toyota told me.

So it left the factory as white but before it was registered and handed over to the customer it was resprayed yellow?

I think it will show it was originally white.

@Mark Carter A bit more information for you on this car that I think you will be happy to know, this was the last UK spec car to be sold and registered in the UK. 

Ooo this is a cool car, last registered and yellow, would look great next to my red one, want to sell it lol  

They can sit together, I’ll buy the red one
