hi guys i just joined the na-tt club, i'm running a 93 supra sz which past year has been converted from na towards a tt, bpu'd it a few months later which the w58 didn't survived, upgraded her with a getrag v160 in combination with an A02B diff.
-
Ive had my conversion for about 8months now and all is still looking good (touch wood) however i thought about replacing the diff to help with the additional power - anyone got any ideas which one to go for? '94 jspec 5 speed manual
-
I've not been able to get on the net much in the last few weeks. The conversion to bpu is done other than putting the gauges in. Had the car for a couple of weeks now and am loving it. Thanks dibble for the advise by the way, I got it sorted:)
-
my gear box is still okay tuch wood but im not BPU yet, still running stock boost

I fitted an uprated fuel pump highly recommended! Didnt really mess about with the loom just the usual 3wires that go to the fuse box. Note regarding the W58 Gearbox, mine lasted about 8months held up well i did give it some abuse. When it did let go it was absolutely destroyed, I can say it will hold BPU power but if you drive hard i wouldnt say it would long term its a ticking time bomb!
-
When doing the conversion did anyone change anything to do with the fuel pump? I.E. fit a relay or piss about with the loom?
-
I think it should be. Yes it'll be good to meet you there:)
-
I hope so mate. Hopefully yours will be done in time for Japfest and we can chat
-
Thta is the only thing. I hope its as good as he said. Fair play to you though for going out and replacing everything. You must be happy knowing its all new, hopefully that can make up for the 8 months of problems a little:)
-
Best of luck with it mate I'm hoping to get mine back soon after all the issues I've had Turns out the donor engine I had sourced for the conversion had major issues with it, so bit the bullet and bought a brand new short block and head. Oh and replaced the stock twins for hybrids as they were shot as well It hasn't been a good 8 months
-
It's inevitable:D Gauges are ordered and the Front mount is bound to be ordered by Thursday. I just hope we get it done for Japfest. It gives us 2 weeks but we (myself and brother=in-law) both work full time and have to strip 2 cars. We did the NA-NA conversion in 3 nights after work when I blew my 1st engine. And that was a nightmare because being auto we couldn't turn the crank, partially impeaded by the conrod which had gone through the side of the block and fused itself to it:blink:
-
Go on Hoff, throw on that FMIC while you're at it
-
I will be carrying out the conversion the 1st week of May:) Going BPU as i have most of the mods needed for it. Jusr deciding weather to go for a fmic while I'm at it:eyebrows:
-
o, the first cat is different
-
tt exhaust and the N/A exhaust are the same
-
cheers 2JG, much appreciated.
-
I'm sure the cooling plate will fit fine mate. The exhaust I bought when I was still N/A is the same I'm using now, and I wasn't told of any modification needed when they did the conversion. But to put your mind at rest I would probably look for a TT exhaust
-
oh and exhausts? is it TT exhausts i would be looking at or NA exhausts? (sorry, i'm new to all this NA-TT malarky )
-
hey guys, quik question, will TT parts fit the NA-TT supra? such as alluminium radiator cooling plate? i'm thinking it will but i just want to make sure the catches and such are all the same on each model.
-
Nice one bud Unfortunately I only go to enjoy mine for about 3 months and it's been sat in a work shop since August
-
hey guys, had my NA-TT (keron) back for 2weeks now and i'm LOVING it, i got a FMIC, sard BOV, sard filter and RPS puck clutch fitted at the same time.
-
i remember that sound back when it was still a n/a. will hold the power better once you BPU, where did you get yours done, if you don't mind
-
iv had my new clutch in:( cost me £415. and it still sounds like my thrust bearings are on the way out.
-
i'm on my second clutch now thwe RSP one leaked and the pressure plate was done for but then again i've had a new engine put it so who knows it was a fitting error than the clutch
