A.E.M. in N/A.

I am fitting an A.E.M. 30-1100 E.C.U. to my ‘stage 1½’ ;) modified Japanese import N/A Supra.

Japanese import N/A’s do not have M.A.F, but utilise M.A.P, the same system as used on the T.T, so this unit should be plug & play.

My manual is for U.K. spec and does not show the location of the M.A.P. sensor(s)

Could you please give me a link to this information? :search:

Second question;

Are A.E.M. M.A.P. sensors better for this application than O.E.M? :search:

Thank you

David

I have found the information I seek, and just in case someone else might find this useful.

The O.E.M. M.A.P. sensor is attactched to the bulkhead and connected to the inlet manifold by a short length of tube.

It is better to use the A.E.M. M.A.P. sensor with an A.E.M. E.C.U.

There you go.... I pressed his 'button' ;) I said maybe I was wrong, and I was :)

Maybe I should say 'maybe nobody will find me an HKS Twin Power', then somebody instantly will, just to prove me wrong :);):)

I am a newcomer to this 'Supragoround', that's why I come here to pick up on a few things.

I have read that Ryan G is good at what he does, I will be looking for a 'good man' to set mine up when it is ready.

Do you think he would fancy a go on my N/A with a second hand AEM?

That would have been a good idea, but have begun and already completed the list in my signature, spending my time and money getting on with the job.

It is pretty average for 20 of the horses to have escaped from a 60k engine so gave myself a 'ball park' start figure of 200bhp. Should I acheive 280, then that would be around 300 on a built engine.:search:

I am looking forwards to the 'Day of Reconning'

How do I find Ryan G?

Why do you need a DLI?

How would a HKS DLI work on an NA, can you explain, how would it be wired up :search:

I was going to install my old AEM on my NA but couldnt be bothered. Should be fairly straight forward and you gain some coil outputs. As for Map sensors, the AEM sensors working better is complete tosh they just have a greater range of operation, unless you plan on turboing the car the stock MAP sensor is fine, failing that then a stock TT map sensor with the correct calibration is good for 1.2bar.
